Beautiful friends & students,

The Path of Love: Coming Home to Yourself

I’m very excited to announce that my fellow phenomenal yoga teacher and dear friend Jude Pet and I will be teaching this workshop together!

For those of you who don’t know her, Jude is an incredible and gifted teacher, and students who love my classes also love hers. In fact, our students have been asking us to teach a workshop together for about ten years now, so we are very happy to finally be doing just that!

I hope you will join Jude and I for this unique opportunity to deepen your practice of self love by exploring the 7 chakras, from grounding ourselves with our root chakra, to recognizing our highest potential with the crown chakra.

Each chakra represents different areas of our life, from our most basic needs (root chakra), to our creativity (solar plexus chakra), to self expression (throat chakra), to our ability to love (heart chakra).

In this workshop we’ll be clearing, balancing and grounding our chakras, beginning to open the pathway for love  to flow freely.

We’ll begin with an opening circle then move gently into a flow where each chakra will be explored. Delicious yin poses will be interwoven organically throughout this flow, and as you rest in each yin posture, Jude & I will share with you words about love, encouraging your heart to soften, ground, expand, and release.

In this workshop you’ll practice deepening your connection to your self and to the love that you embody.

The creative flow will transition to a partner yoga practice, encouraging collaboration and play. Loving ourselves is not done in isolation. Love blossoms and is nurtured through our relationships with others and our community, and in partner yoga you will have a unique opportunity to connect with each other 🙂

Afterwards, we’ll have a creative space for drawing, journaling and writing ‘Love Letters.’  We will have different colored paper, pens, pencils, crayons, etc., available for you to express yourself and play with, although you are also welcome to bring your own.

We will then drop into 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra, to take you into a place of deep relaxation and rest.

As Dionne Warwick so wisely sang, “What the world needs now is love.”

Love yourself dear one. And let that love shine out into the world.

Here’s a little something to inspire you to write a love letter to yourself…

In this workshop you are supported in being where you are in each moment.

This is what love is.

There’s so much advice about who we should be. But love is about creating space to be who we are, to be our authentic, vulnerable, messy, beautiful, scared, laugh out loud, strange, perfectly imperfect selves.

That is the path of love, being true to, and coming home to, ourselves.

When we can say, this is where I’m wounded, this is where I react instead of respond, this is what I’m afraid of, this is what I’m passionate about, this is what turns me on, this is where I shut off, we can bloom into a place of unconditional love, true joy (which includes sadness, grief, anger, confusion, vulnerability), and deep peace.

Start the new year by listening to your body, heart and soul.

Take time to go deep and come home to yourself.

This is the path of love.

It always begins with loving ourselves…
