The 6th Chakra – Third Eye – Ajna
The 6th chakra is the Third eye chakra, Ajna, which translates to “beyond wisdom.”
This chakra is known as the control center because it focuses on cultivating a strong and independent mind. It contains the mental applications we need for creating happy and wholesome lives.
It is usually fully activated in our mid-thirties when we have accrued some life experience to weigh against the ideas we ingested at an early age.
If there has been psychological arrestment due to familial or cultural suppression, this chakra will struggle to work effectively against these mental constraints.
Qualities and Attributes
The brow chakra provides the energy for us to experience clear and concise thought, as well as the gifts of spiritual reflection and inner contemplation.
It holds the roots for psychological maturity as well as ethical and philosophical principles.
When it is fully activated, this chakra stimulates both hemipsheres of the brain. The right hemisphere controls synthetic thinking and creative activity. The left side of the brain controls rational, analytical thinking.
Working together they create a harmonious vision of reality that incorporates grounded, logical thinking and intuitive and imaginative experience.
The brow chakra provides the energy to expand our inner picture of how we see ourselves and the world. If we cultivate positive beliefs about self and others, our mental picture will be resilient and able to weather disruption.
This chakra is entirely about the power of mind to create our reality at the physical, mental, and emotional levels.
It is in the realm of the mind that we transform our lives, harness our vitality, and implement our dreams.

The brow chakra offers us energy to awaken our minds and question whether what we have been taught is true or false.
To fully activate the brow chakra it is necessary to examine self-limiting ideas that denigrate our worth. Its spiritual purpose is to offer us the possibility of wisdom, discernment, imagination, intuition, and knowledge.
As we distill truth from life experience, we develop this chakra and strengthen our spirit.
The way in which we access the brow chakra is to examine how we think and feel about ourselves and our lives.
If we are positive about who we are and how we feel about our experiences, then the brow chakra will function well and we should have abundant energy available to us to do the things we love.
If, on the other hand, we have doubts about ourselves, and a negative opinion of who we are and what we do, it will become necessary to change the way we think in order to assist the chakra in doing its work.
This is how we transform our energy.
